The age-old Indian science of ayurveda has extended its magic arm to netizens. Baidyanath, the renowned city-based ayurvedic products’ manufacturer, has launched allAyurveda.com, claimed to be the world’s first Web portal on ayurveda.

The portal has several interesting features. Apart from providing the key principles of ayurveda, allAyurveda.com will offer free online consultation with experienced ayurvedic doctors on the Net.

Designed by Web solutions agency Allindia.com, the portal will provide a host of value-added services. There is advice on various ailments and their ayurvedic solutions, information on the recent research findings and list of retailers of ayurvedic products.

The chairman of West Bengal Industrial Development Corp, Mr Somanath Chatterjee, said that the world is witnessing a shift from synthetic to natural medicines of late and the portal’s launch has been well-times.

"Recently, WHO has remarked that ayurveda is the best alternative form of medicine that is practiced throughout the world and with ailments such a common feature in human lives there will be no dearth of patients to be who can benefit from the portal," Mr Chatterjee said.

The portal also offers ayurveda in daily life, diagnosis in Ayurveda, spiritual remedies, acu-pressure, Reiki and the like. A unique feature of the portal is the library section.

AllAyurveda.com will be in touch with scholars and researchers throughout the world and will publish relevant sections from them in this section.
