The High Commission of India, Singapore

1.	Fresh Indian Passports are issued to the bonafide Indian residents of Singapore at anytime within six months of the date of expiry of the current passports. Requests for renewal of passports before six months of expiry date are considered on a case by case basis. Fresh passports are valid for a maximum period of 10 years. (Please Note: Issue of 20 years validity passports has been discontinued). However, in case of maids, a two-year validity passport is issued initially, which is renewable every two years upto ten years. The fees for 10 years Jumbo passport (containing 60 pages) is Singapore dollars Forty only and that of ordinary passport (containing 36 pages) is Singapore Dollars thirty only. Maids have to pay the fees only once, i.e. at the time of obtaining fresh passports. Subsequent renewal is free of charge. Three passport size photographs and the Identity Card issued by Singapore authorities are required. Two/three working days are taken to issue fresh passports.For separate passports for infants, a fee of S$20/- is charged. Passports for infants are issued only for a duration of five years as facial features of infants change fast.Such passports can also be renewed on expiry of five years. Renewal of passports is done for passports of limited original validity. A fee of S$26/- is charged for this.

2.	Duplicate Passport / Emergency Certitificates are issued in case of lost passports. The application should accompany Police Report.Upon loss of passport, please intimate the nearest police station at once and also contact the Singapore Immigration Office at Kallang to obtain a Special Pass to regularise your stay in Singapore without holding a passport. Three photographs are required. The fees for duplicate passport is Singapore Dollars Two Hundred and Seventy Seven (S$260/- plus S$17/- for drawing up an affidavit) and that of Emergency Certificate is Singapore Dollars Twenty Two only. Duplicate passports are also issued in case of damaged passports. Duplicate passports/emergency certificates are issued only after establishing the identity of Indian nationals.

3.	Additional Booklets are provided to residents only. The fees for additonal Jumbo passport booklet (containing 60 pages) is Singapore Dollars Forty only and that of ordinary passport booklet (containing 36 pages) is Singapore Dollars thirty only. Three passport size photographs and photocopy of identity card (in respect of residents of Singapore) are required for this. Two/Three working days are required to issue the additional passport book.

4.	Miscellaneous Passport Services, such as renewal, renunciation of Indian citizenship, change of maiden names, emigration check not required, change of address, etc. are also provided. All miscellaneous services are rendered next working day. One photograph is required for all miscellaneous services. Fees is Singapore Dollars Thirteen only per service, except renewal, which is Singapore Dollars Twenty Six only and change of maiden names which is Singapore Dollars Thirty only.

5.	In addition to the above mentioned passport services, several consular services, such as, attestation of documents, issue of various certificates based on Indian passports, attestation of maid/labour employment agreements, etc. are rendered by this High Commission.
